Cub Scouts Celebrate Carnival 2004 at the Rinella Scout Center in fine style

Over one hundred and fifty Cub Scouts from the Birzebbugia, Qrendi and San Gwann Packs teamed up together and organized a Cub Scout Carnival Party at the Rinella Scout Center . The theme, “Lets have Carnival Fun together” was evident through out the afternoon. Cub Scouts and their leaders were asked to turn up on the day in fancy dress, and were entered into respective categories judging one on the originality, presentation and style of their attire.

Cub Scout Commissioner. Mr. Leslie Bonnici, who seemed to be enjoying himself as much as the Cub Scouts were, presented trophies to the First and second placed in each category, whilst commemorative certificates were also presented to all. Winning was not as important as having fun, and this was evident by the smiles on the faces of the Cubs, that danced and played Carnival Games through out the afternoon.

The activity also allowed the respective leaders to let their hair down ( Those that do have hair ), where the B'Bugia and Qrendi GSL's entering the Leader's Competition as “Humpty Dumpty and Co” won this category, winning an extra helping of “Timpana” for their efforts.

Everyone returned home happily singing scouting sing-a-long songs along their way.
