Din L'Art Helwa launch their CD-ROM, “Malta: A Treasure trove of History”

On Thursday 30th January 2003, members of the Qrendi Scout Group joined numerous private school children and guests of Malta’s heritage guardians Din l’Art Helwa at the launching and presenting of their CD-ROM, “Malta: A Treasure Trove of History”.
In a packed Imax Cinema in Bay street, the Din l’Art Helwa president Mr. Martin Scicluna explained the aims and benefit behind this CD-ROM, earmarked for our younger generation and those not too familiar with Malta’s heritage. The work incorporating detailed aspects of Malta’s history, a treasure hunt around our historical sites and numerous fun games serving as “a must” for our youths and tourists alike.
Addressing the audience, Mr. Scicluna also found the time to praise the Scout Association of Malta and its respective scout groups for the supportive role that they play whenever their services were needed.
Also attending the launching and presentation ceremony was the Hon. Dr. Louis Galea and Hon. Dr. Joe Borg, Ministers for Education and Foreign Affairs respectively together with the Malta Scout Association’s Chief Scout, Mr. Vincent Cassar.
All present were later entertained to the screening of “The Blue Planet”, a highly informative and educational IMAX documentary on World Environmental issues.
