During its service in Malta as part of the Mediterranean fleet, H.M.S. Chivalrous served as the Qrendi Scout Group’s Patron ship. Numerous ships’ visits were organised whilst the ship was in Malta as were day sailing excursions aboard the British Warship, made possible through the excellent relationships between the ships commander Lieutenant Commander G.B. Barstow and the Qrendi GSM Luigi Galea.
