St George's Parade (1948)

The Scouts Annual parade or as it then know as, the St Georges Day Parade, was in 1948 held at the Hal Far Naval Airfield.

This is amongst the first recorded participation by the 1 St Qrendi Scout Group at the St Georges's Day Parade. On the day no fewer than sixteen Wolf Cub and Boy Scouts from Qrendi Scouts and accompanied by Scout Master Luigi Galea attended the parade.

After the parade the various scout groups were allowed to view the various aircraft parked in the vicinity of the airfield and to pose for commemorative photographs.

The 1 st Qrendi Scout Group members together with their respective leaders proudly pose in front of World War 1 Aircraft, whilst the Group's official photographer, Rover Scout Edward Galea records the event for prosperity.
