Keith Sacco has been scouting since 1983, joining the San Gwann Scout Group as a Cub Scout. Towards the end of 1990, Keith joined Stella Maris College Scout Group, spending two years as a Scout moving up to the Venture Unit in 1993. During his four year stay at Stella Maris College Scout Group, Keith was appointed Asst. Patrol Leader and subsequently a Patrol Leader. In 1994, due to studies Keith was reluctant to stop attending scouts, returning some eighteen 18 months later where he joined the newly-formed St. Augustine's College Scout Group as an Auxiliary Assistant Cub Scout Leader, responsible for boys between the ages of eight and eleven years. |

That same year Keith was appointed Honorary Secretary of the Group's Scout Council and also assumed the role as Asst. Cub Scout Leader and later in December 1997, Keith was appointed Cub Scout Leader. Between 1998 and 1999, Keith accompanied his group to two international camps - Windsor International Guides and Scout Camp in the UK (August 1998) and the Transatlantic Camp in Sicily (October 1999). In August 2001, Keith was asked by the Scout Association of Malta
to assume the responsibility of Aux. Commissioner for Information Technology
within the association, where he worked on the Scout Association's Web
Site., A few months later the position of Commissioner / Director for
Administration was added to his work at the association. Due to work
commitments, Keith had, once again to relinquish his positions, promising
to serve the association in any role that might arise in the future |

During 2002, Keith Sacco accepted the Qrendi
Scout Group's challenge to set up a professional Scouting Web site that
would help the Group establish itself on the World Wide Web. An expert
in this field work on the site was started without much fuss. With Keith's able assistance, the Qrendi Scouts have strived to give greater publicity to the Group and Scout Association in General, Qrendi and to Malta the beloved island we all dearly call home. On Thursday 19th February 2004 [see photo on right], Keith was conferred the Thanks Badge by Chief Scout, for the help he has given to Maltese Scout Association throughout the last few years. |
