Kyle Rittenhouse will not face gun charges in Lake County related to the AR-15-style weapon he is charged with using to kill two men and wound a third during violent protests in Kenosha in August, prosecutors announced Tuesday.

An Antioch police investigation found that the Smith & Wesson .223 caliber rifle “was purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin” and turned up no evidence the 17-year-old “physically possessed” the weapon in Illinois, according to a news release from the office of Lake County State’s Attorney Mike Nerheim. The news release does not reveal who is believed to have bought or held the gun before the shooting.

Judge sets bond at $2 million for men accused of killing Euclid mother, fashion model

EUCLID, Ohio – A municipal judge set $2 million bonds for the two men accused of killing a mother and fashion model from Euclid.

Daylonta Jones, 20 and Curtis Gatheright, 21 are both being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail as their case is presented to a grand jury. Both men face murder charges in the Oct. 1 death of Shalaymiah Moore who was shot in the back and shoulder in what police have said was an attempted robbery.

Gatheright’s bond was set on Monday at his initial hearing, and Jones was set on Wednesday.

The shooting happened about 3:15 a.m. last Friday on Lakeshore Boulevard just west of East 210th Street, according to Euclid police.

Fashion Nova accused of sexualizing kids with new clothing line: ‘Children should be allowed to be children’

The popular fast-fashion retailer Fashion Nova recently launched a kids clothing line, and some parents are not happy about it.

Nova Kids launched in late September, and the company describes it as “trendy fits for the stylish kid.” But several critics have taken to social media to say the clothing line is inappropriate for children.

Walmart employee arrested, accused of taking photos up women’s clothing

A Walmart maintenance worker has been arrested and accused of taking photos up unsuspecting women’s clothing at his store in North Port.

The North Port Police Department said 54-year-old Joey Kauffman was arrested this past weekend after a victim came forward and said he’d used a cell phone to take pictures of underneath her dress. According to an arrest report, she made Walmart management aware of what happened, and store leadership confronted Kauffman but did not immediately find any images of that victim on his phone.

Police say they later interviewed Kauffman at his home, where they say he agreed to sign a consent form allowing them to search the device.

“Our digital forensic team was able to extract multiple images involving more than a dozen unsuspecting adult females from Kauffman’s cell phone,” the police department said.

YouTuber and beauty mogul Jeffree Star accused of sexual misconduct, new report alleges

Jeffree Star, one of YouTube’s most prominent figures and the owner of a multimillion-dollar cosmetics company, is being accused of sexual misconduct and other bouts of physical violence, according to a new report from Insider.

Insider spoke to four people who said Star “groped men around him without consent” and five people who said they saw Star use a short-range stun device on people as a means to intimidate them. Star’s attorney denied all allegations made in the Insider piece, which goes back years to Star’s days as a MySpace celebrity in the late 2000s. Nikola founder Trevor Milton accused of sexual abuse by two women

Two women have come forward with formal sexual assault allegations against Nikola founder Trevor Milton, accusing the 38-year-old billionaire in complaints filed with Utah authorities of sexual abuse when both women were 15 years old.

The accusations, stretching back more than 15 years ago, follow Milton’s resignation as executive chairman of Nikola on Sept. 21 after short seller Hindenburg Research released a damning report detailing fraud allegations. The report has reportedly sparked inquiries into Milton and Nikola by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice.

Through a spokesman, Milton “strongly denied” what he said were false allegations and declined to address the specific details of the women’s complaints.
