And who knows that better than Jezebel writer-director Numa Perrier, who recently married her beau of three years, Gabrey Milner (son of the late great playwright Ron Milner) on a small rooftop in downtown LA, with a drive-in movie reception to follow.

“TEN TEN TWENTY TWENTY, a love story,” she shared via Instagram.

The date they ultimately chose—October 10, 2020—held a special place in their hearts. It marked three years exactly to the day of their first date. But when the coronavirus pandemic dashed their plans, they were determined to still celebrate joy and love. And that’s exactly what they did — while inspiring us all in the process.

Couple marries at drive-in wedding to avoid 15-person coronavirus limit

Despite coronavirus regulations in the U.K., this couple was able to have 250 guests at their wedding — but they were all in cars.

Roma Popat, 30, and her now-husband Vinal Patel, 30, were married last Friday in a drive-in wedding ceremony on a 500-acre estate in Essex, England.

“At the time, we did not understand the severity of the situation and were still holding out hope that we could have a re-arranged wedding for 700 guests, as originally planned,” Popat said, according to the British website.

London:

An Indian-origin couple, keen not to delay their wedding plans despite a strict restriction on the number of guests allowed to assemble under England’s coronavirus lockdown rules, are celebrating this week after pulling off a first-of-its-kind drive-in wedding near London.

Londoners Roma Popat and Vinal Patel were originally due to get married on April 20 but when lockdown disrupted their plans, they discussed the concept of a drive-in wedding with their wedding coordinator, Saheli Events, almost as a tongue-in-cheek thought rather than a serious plan.

However, what began as a joke became a reality last Friday, when the couple were married in front of a small gathering of their immediate family with the ceremony being projected onto a big screen in a field next door to friends and family seated in more than 100

Drive-in wedding in Essex bypasses coronavirus guest limit

With a global pandemic, heavy rain and a 15-person limit on nuptials to contend with, one couple decided there was only one way to do their big day: a drive-in wedding.

The pair got married in front of a small gathering of immediate family at Braxted Park, a 500-acre estate in Chelmsford, Essex, while friends and family watched on big screens from more than 100 cars parked outside. Another 300 guests tuned in via video link from around the world.

As is tradition with Hindu weddings, the groom made an entrance, travelling around the field before the ceremony and waving at guests, who still got dressed up for the occasion, from a decorated golf buggy driven by a member of venue staff wearing a
