Pokemon Go Fashion Event Now Live, Features Top Hat-Wearing Pokemon And New Shiny

The Pokemon Company is partnering with Longchamp Paris to release a Pokemon-themed fashion collection in stores this month, and to celebrate the collaboration, Pokemon Go is holding its own in-game fashion-themed event right now.

Until 10 PM PT on October 8, “fashionable” Pokemon will be appearing in the wild, Raid Battles, and hatching from eggs more frequently than normal. Many of the pocket monsters will be sporting top hats, caps, bows, and other accessories: Smoochum wearing bows will hatch from 7 km eggs, while Kirlia and Shinx wearing top hats will appear as Raid bosses. You’ll also find the following Pokemon more frequently in the wild:

Oshawa wedding declared an outbreak event after eight people test positive for COVID-19

Attendees of a wedding held in Oshawa earlier this month are being urged to contact public health officials after eight people tested positive for COVID-19.

In a news release issued Wednesday, Durham Region said that those who attended the Sept. 19 event at the Caribbean Cultural Centre, located near Colonel Sam Drive and Farewell Street, may have been exposed to the disease.

About 50 guests were at the wedding, officials said, as well as eight to 10 staff and an unspecified number of volunteers.

“The Health Department has been notified of eight cases of COVID-19 associated with this event and is having difficulty obtaining a full list of attendees and their contact information,” the release reads.

“As a result of the eight positive cases of COVID-19, an outbreak has been declared at this wedding that took place at the Caribbean Cultural Centre.”

Target to host Deal Days shopping event during Amazon Prime Day

Target plans to use its stores to fulfill many online orders this holiday season

Target Corp. said Monday that it will host its Deal Days shopping event on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14, the same days that Amazon.com Inc. is having its delayed Prime Day event.

Target Deal Days will feature digital promotions on “hundreds of thousands of items,” according to a statement sent to MarketWatch from the company.

Prime Day, Amazon’s Premier Shopping Event, Will Take Place Oct. 13-14

After Prime Day didn’t take place this past July due to Covid-19 issues, no one really thought Amazon would cancel its biggest shopping event of the year.
