It’s possible the Blackhawks’ second-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, goalie Drew Commesso, will always share a connection with Corey Crawford.

The Hawks’ need to select a goalie, which is likely the reason they attempted to trade up in the first round this year, is due to Crawford’s short-term future with the team.
