Arsenal recorded a convincing 5-0 win at Brighton to maintain their 100% start and return to the top of the Women’s Super League.
Two goals from Vivianne Miedema plus strikes from Danielle van de Donk, Jen Beattie and Lotte Wubben-Moy gave them a fourth win in four.
Miedema opened and rounded off the scoring for the Gunners to take her tally for the season to seven goals.
Right-back Wubben-Moy netted her first senior goal for the club.
The Gunners returned to the top of the table, having been displaced by Manchester United’s win at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Miedema’s double also took her to 49 career Women’s Super League goals, taking her level with all-time record holder Nikita Parris.
Despite the comfortable nature of the win for Joe Montemurro’s side, they were given a couple of early scares by Brighton before Miedema’s opener.
