Cynthia Bailey’s Wedding to Mike Hill: Face Masks by Jill Zarin

The big day is almost here: Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill will officially be tying the knot on October 10, 2020. With the ceremony soon approaching, The Real Housewives of Atlanta bride-to-be is taking safety measures to help protect her guests during the special occasion.

In a recent interview with Extra, Cynthia shared that she and Mike will be putting several safety precautions into place at their ceremony, including conducting temperature checks and requiring guests to wear masks and face shields. And she’s getting help from a familiar face.

Cynthia enlisted her pal, The Real Housewives of New York City alum Jill Zarin, and her daughter, Ally Shapiro, to make face masks for her nuptials. As you may know, the RHONY mother-daughter duo started face mask company Masks by Jill & Ally amid the ongoing global pandemic, which has become very popular for its tie-dye designs.

Jill Ellis and U.S. Soccer Announce Coaching Mentorship Program

She described FIFA’s program and U.S. Soccer’s new one as important ways for women, especially coaches at the top of the game, like her, to walk the walk of supporting a new generation. “We sit on top,” she said, “and we have a responsibility here.”

Ellis knows the hurdles female coaches face: the ballooning costs of a coaching education, for one — the courses to obtain a pro license, the top level in the United States, now cost about $10,000, and the next step down is about half that — but there are also child care and family responsibilities, which regularly fall harder on women. For those reasons, many women say, their progress as coaches has lagged behind the waves of growth and investment in the women’s game over all.

The daughter of a soccer coach and the sister of another, Ellis, 54, has dedicated her professional life to teaching

U.S. Soccer, Jill Ellis announce mentorship program for more women coaches

Jill Ellis never left soccer, she just shifted focus.

The two-time World Cup-winning coach with the U.S. national team has turned her attention to making sure other women can pursue coaching careers in a sport where female coaches are rare.

After Ellis stepped down as coach of the national team last year, U.S. soccer announced it would endow an annual scholarship in her name to support female candidates pursuing elite coaching licenses.

On Tuesday, U.S. Soccer also announced the SheChampions Mentorship Program, designed to support women in the two top licensing courses.

Ellis said the idea is to create a community.

“As I look back on my journey, every female coach has gone it alone, so to speak. There’s been very few opportunities to be in a room, or be on a coaching license course, with other women,” Ellis said. “So I think that the idea of this

Jill Zarin and daughter Ally Shapiro launch new ‘mask jewelry’

Jill Zarin and daughter Ally Shapiro’s face mask line is getting a new look.

Masks By Jill & Ally’s Candy Collection, a range of colorful, playful mask necklaces priced at $18 each, launched on Tuesday.

“Masks are a scary thing,” Shapiro recently told Page Six Style, adding, “It’s not something fun and now it’s a part of everyday life, so why not make it fun?”

Shapiro also teamed up with Summer Strings founder Charlotte Alden to supply handmade mask chains in new fall colors, due to launch in the coming weeks.

Of their collaboration, Alden told us she’s “grateful” for the opportunity to work with Shapiro and is “really excited” for the second launch together. They dropped their first collab earlier this month.

As Page Six Style previously reported, Shapiro began hand-dyeing masks to help raise money for their COVID-19 initiative to feed healthcare workers called “Noshes for Nurses.”
