Bill Belichick refuses to name QB starter in typical fashion

The New England Patriots have a starting quarterback, who is positive for COVID-19, and a backup quarterback controversy. It all adds up to a difficult decision as Bill Belichick picks the starter for Week 5.

Quarterback Cam Newton has not practiced with the team since he tested positive for COVID-19 on Oct. 3. He could be eligible to play in the Patriots’ Monday night matchup against the Denver Broncos, if he has remained asymptomatic, which he was, as of Monday. But if he has since developed symptoms or the Patriots want to give Newton more time away from the team or they simply don’t want to start him without giving him a chance to practicem, New England will have to pick between Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham, who each had major issues in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cal Cunningham repeatedly refuses to answer if he’s had affairs with more women in ‘brutal’ press conference

Democratic Senate candidate Cal Cunningham repeatedly dodged questions about if there are any other women he has had affairs with during a cringeworthy press conference on Friday.

It was Cunningham’s first public media availability since news broke of intimate texts between him and Arlene Guzman Todd, who is married to another man and has since said that their relationship included physical intimacy as recently as July.

A Facebook post from North Carolina attorney Erin Brinkman alleged that Todd is not the only woman Cunningham has had an affair with, prompting repeated questions from the press.

“Are there any other allegations of extramarital affairs that you think are going to surface, and do you think that you owe voters more of an explanation than you’ve offered so far?” one reporter asked.

Sid Owen refuses to let Loose Women viewers see his face

EastEnders star Sid Owen admitted he didn’t want to show his face during an appearance on Loose Women due to the injuries he picked up after being hit in the face by a golf ball.

The 48-year-old suffered horrific injuries during a Thailand getaway earlier this year which left him needing surgery to rebuild his jaw.

During a video interview on the lunch time panel show, Owen, appearing with screen wife Patsy Palmer, opted to show a photo of himself on his monitor rather than appear on camera himself.
