Princess Diana’s Wedding Dress Designer Loves “The Crown’s” Rendition of the Royal’s Big-Day Look

Princess Diana’s wedding dress, which she wore to her 1981 nuptials, undeniably caught viewers’ attention around the world. Today, the same can be said of the latest iteration of her iconic gown, made for Netflix’s The Crown; the late royal’s ensemble was recreated for the show and is so accurate, one of Princess Di’s wedding dress designers spoke out to praise it. According to People, Elizabeth Emanuel, who brought the original garment to life—25-foot-long train and all—alongside her former husband, David Emanuel, thinks the copy is spot-on. “The dress looks lovely,” Elizabeth told the outlet. “They have done a great job in capturing the spirit of the wedding gown.”
