Amazon picking up its Lord of the Rings series was as transparent a grab as one could imagine for the vacuum left by the wildly successful Game of Thrones.

But Tolkien fans are up in arms following rumours that the billion-dollar show could be rather raunchier than the source material.

Tolkien site TheOneRing has picked up on a number of casting call and crew-member additions to the series, which, like Peter Jackson’s LOTR movies, is being filmed in New Zealand.

The reference for the job in question is ‘JAZZ’, which TheOneRing reckons has been used as a codename

YouTuber and beauty mogul Jeffree Star accused of sexual misconduct, new report alleges

Jeffree Star, one of YouTube’s most prominent figures and the owner of a multimillion-dollar cosmetics company, is being accused of sexual misconduct and other bouts of physical violence, according to a new report from Insider.

Insider spoke to four people who said Star “groped men around him without consent” and five people who said they saw Star use a short-range stun device on people as a means to intimidate them. Star’s attorney denied all allegations made in the Insider piece, which goes back years to Star’s days as a MySpace celebrity in the late 2000s. The story describes alleged instances of Star using his celebrity and influence to reportedly harm people around him.

In one instance, Star allegedly tased a homeless teen he knew, invited him back to his apartment, gave the teen Ambien, then “forcibly performed oral sex on him without his consent,” Insider reported. That was according

Nikola founder Trevor Milton accused of sexual abuse by two women

Two women have come forward with formal sexual assault allegations against Nikola founder Trevor Milton, accusing the 38-year-old billionaire in complaints filed with Utah authorities of sexual abuse when both women were 15 years old.

The accusations, stretching back more than 15 years ago, follow Milton’s resignation as executive chairman of Nikola on Sept. 21 after short seller Hindenburg Research released a damning report detailing fraud allegations. The report has reportedly sparked inquiries into Milton and Nikola by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice.

Through a spokesman, Milton “strongly denied” what he said were false allegations and declined to address the specific details of the women’s complaints.

Since the Hindenburg report dropped a little over two weeks ago, the shareholder lawsuits and personal attacks on social media have started to pour in.

The turnabout for Milton has been swift. The company went public June 4 and Milton

Former Fashion Models Accuse Top Agent of Rape and Sexual Assault

Mr. Brunel has faced accusations of abuse himself: Three former models told The Guardian last year that he sexually assaulted them in the 1980s and 1990s in and around Paris. He has denied the allegations.

Ms. Le Jeune, the lawyer representing the women who claim they were assaulted by Mr. Marie, is also representing those accusing Mr. Brunel. She welcomed Monday’s announcement by the Paris prosecutors as an “encouraging first step,” though she acknowledged she was not sure it would result in prosecution.

Ms. Brinkworth is asking that her filing be accepted as a formal complaint, despite the passage of more than two decades, based on an old video. She contends it makes a direct reference to her assault by Mr. Marie, who left Elite in 2011, though the specifics of the video remain unclear.

After the episode, she was bound by a confidentiality agreement with the BBC and Elite,
