The presidential election is less than three weeks away, and former supporters of President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania are experiencing voter’s remorse. These white women regret having cast their ballots for this president and plan on voting for Joe Biden instead in November.

Trump shocked the political establishment in 2016 when he carried the state of Pennsylvania to victory, propelled by 50% of white women in the state. However, recent polls have indicated that the now-swing state may revert back to the column of the Democrats.

Women earn more and are more likely to have jobs when Democrats run the state legislature

Our research shows that the Democrats have delivered increases in economic gender equality. More precisely, our study shows that when Democrats control state legislatures, women’s income, wages and unemployment all improve substantially, relative to those of men.

Here’s how we did our research

To assess whether Democratic or Republican control of state legislatures affects gender inequality in the workplace, we tracked male and female wages, income, poverty and employment in each state annually for a little over three decades. We used data from the census’s Annual Social and Economic Supplement of the Current Population Survey. We then looked to see if women were catching up to men faster when Democrats controlled the levers of state power then when Republicans did. Further, we employed two statistical techniques — regression discontinuity and difference-in-difference analysis — that allow us to isolate the effect of party control from other factors.

In the first analysis,

Raegan Beers, nation’s No. 4 post, commits to Oregon State Beavers women’s basketball

The Oregon State Beavers women’s basketball program has established a tradition of landing some of the nation’s best talent on the recruiting trail.

In the class of 2020, Scott Rueck and his coaching staff secured commitments from Arkansas five-star guard/wing Sasha Goforth, while 2021 provided Greta Kampschroeder, the nation’s No. 14 guard, and Talia Von Oelhoffen, the No. 5 wing nationally.

On Monday, Oregon State extended its hot streak into the 2022 class, landing Colorado star Raegan Beers, the nation’s No. 22 overall prospect and No. 4 post player according to ESPN:

Beers, who visited Corvallis in January, is currently considered a four-star prospect, but ESPN bestows five-star status on its top 53 players by Signing Day each recruiting cycle, meaning she is almost certain to earn a fifth star before she arrives on campus.

As a sophomore, the 6-foot-2 post averaged 15.5 points, 10.1 rebounds (4.5 offensive rebounds), 1.6

Montana State showcases familiar style during fall scrimmage | Bobcats Football

Through a pandemic, a postponed season and a changed coaching staff, Montana State football looked the same as it has for the last five years.

The Bobcats have a first-year offensive coordinator. They won’t play games this fall because of the coronavirus pandemic. Their fall scrimmage on Saturday was played at Bobcat Stadium without fans, who instead had to watch the event online.

But the Bobcats haven’t changed. In a 14-7 win for the White team over the Blue team that featured a mix of young and veteran players, the Bobcats’ defense shined, their run game thrived and their passing game was inconsistent.

“For the most part, I thought competition was really good,” MSU head coach Jeff Choate said. “I don’t think we set football back 100 years today, not exactly what you’re looking for, but I think it was awesome. The energy was great. Our kids were excited to
