Microsoft Edge gets free 24-hour video calls, screenshot tool, and shopping features

Microsoft today announced a slew of new features coming to its Chromium Edge browser. There are PDF improvements, a built-in screenshot tool, support for more themes, and new shopping features in time for the holiday season. But the most notable addition is the one powered by Skype because for better or for worse, 2020 is the year of video calling.

When Zoom usage exploded this year, Microsoft tried to save face by making it easier to join Skype calls — the company dropping account sign-up requirements and expanded the number of supported users. Microsoft is now bringing that functionality to Edge’s new tab page with a dedicated Meet Now button (not to be confused with Google Meet).

Clicking Meet Now creates a video chat link that you can share with up to 50 friends who can join you for free, no sign up or download required. Meet Now lets you

Half of American women experience anxiety when shopping for new clothes, according to new research.

The survey asked 2,000 American women about their confidence and just how often shopping can take a hit on their confidence.

Four in 10 women shared that they hate shopping for new clothes and with some of the most common experiences they have, it’s no surprise.

Thirteen percent of women polled said they’ve had such a difficult time during a shopping trip, they’ve shed a tear in the changing room.

Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of True&Co, the survey also found that a further two in 10 women surveyed even shared they’ve felt judged by a salesperson.

The survey found that the most stressful clothing items to shop for in-person included bras, jeans and swimsuits.

Respondents also shared that their clothing shopping struggles have transferred to the online marketplace as well – with 14% of

In a campaign-style video, Trump says contracting Covid-19 was a risk he had to take as ‘your leader.’

President Trump on Monday night sought to reframe his battle with Covid-19 in political rather than medical terms, suggesting that his recent diagnosis was not a mortal threat to his health or an indictment about his handling of the pandemic but instead an exhibition of presidential leadership.

“As your leader, I had to do that,” he said in a video posted online, appearing to suggest that exposing himself to the deadly virus by repeatedly ignoring warnings about mask-wearing and social distancing was simply part of his job as president.

Mr. Trump made the remarks in a video posted shortly after his return to the White House after a worrying three-night stay at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In the video, and another clip posted minutes earlier that showed his return home aboard the presidential helicopter, Mr. Trump said he “learned so much about coronavirus” but urged Americans “don’t

Walmart employee arrested for video voyeurism in North Port

NORTH PORT, Fla. — A Walmart maintenance worker has been arrested and accused of taking photos up unsuspecting women’s clothing at his store in North Port.

The North Port Police Department said 54-year-old Joey Kauffman was arrested this past weekend after a victim came forward and said he’d used a cell phone to take pictures of underneath her dress. According to an arrest report, she made Walmart management aware of what happened, and store leadership confronted Kauffman but did not immediately find any images of that victim on his phone.

Police say they later interviewed Kauffman at his home, where they say he agreed to sign a consent form allowing them to search the device.

Biden Rape Accuser Tara Reade: He Was A Hero Of Mine, He’s Like “A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing” | Video

Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer who earlier this year accused Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden of sexual assault, told her story on Australian television this week. Reade is one of eight women who have made similar allegations.

“He would put his hands on me… he would run his fingers under my hair… and I had never experienced that with a boss before,” she said. “It was very much him coming into a room and putting his hand on me… I was too scared to say anything… He seemed to lack boundaries.”

“He said, ‘C’mon, man! I thought you liked me!’ I could see he was angry,” she said. “He put his finger to my face and told me: You’re nothing to me. You’re nothing.”

“He’s a blue Trump,” she said. “He doesn’t deserve the presidency.”

The Women Who Invented Video Game Music

Noone is a big deal, video game music is a big deal now, and orchestras are frequently commonplace in big-budget games, but the path to today begins in Japan, in the 1980s, at gaming giants like Capcom, Konami, Taito, Falcom, and so on.

Turn Back Time

It’s in this time, and in these places, where groups of women composers, often some of the earliest sound team hires, laid the harmonic foundation for many of video gaming’s most enduring franchises with their infectious earworms.

Most were recruited fresh from college and set to work at breakneck paces, on hardware and software that at best could be described as crude yet byzantine by modern conventions. Women like Manami Matsumae composed the three-channel melodies and effects for dozens of games and legendary 8-bit heroes like none other than the Blue Bomber himself, Mega Man.

Their work filled living rooms, and their soundtracks
