Check Out These Cool New Accessories Announced For Xbox Series X And xCloud

The next generation of Xbox is already calling for the next generation of third-party peripherals.

Yesterday, French video game publisher and high-end accessory manufacturer Nacon announced a suite of new gadgets that will help Microsoft fans usher in the Xbox Series X and xCloud eras, starting sometime in 2021. This is rather newsworthy, because up until this point, Nacon has only released its pro-grade controllers in Europe, most notably the Revolution Pro series for PS4.

First up is the Revolution X, a fully decked-out and customizable gamepad aimed at the growing competitive gaming market. It’s got everything you’d expect from similar offerings from other companies like SCUF Gaming or ASTRO, with adjustable weight, programmable profiles, a fancy carrying case, convenient back triggers and swappable thumbsticks.

If the Revolution X is a bit too intimidating (maybe in an Xbox Duke kind of way)

Yakuza: Like A Dragon Is An Absolute Gift (Xbox Series X Preview)

We’ve closed the book on our beloved protagonist in Kazuma Kiryu. Through seven mainline games, we grew to care about a man who fought for the people he loved most and tried to do the right thing no matter his circumstances–and also did his best to resolve some of the most ridiculous situations of everyday people. As we enter Yakuza: Like A Dragon, we begin anew in the series with fresh faces and revamped gameplay mechanics. And after putting a few hours into it on Xbox Series X, Like A Dragon hit me with everything I love most about the series while standing strong as its own spirited game.

Every time I talk about the Yakuza games, I also point to its perfect blend of outlandish humor and captivating melodrama–consistently hitting the right notes at the right moments. It has always been outward in its expression of modern Japanese culture

Xbox Releases Epic Ad for Its New Consoles as High-Stakes Holiday Shopping Season Nears

Xbox has released an epic new ad as it looks to win over market share from arch-rival Sony PlayStation, in what is a very high-stakes year for the brands as they each gear up to launch a hotly anticipated new generation of consoles

The 70-second global ad by longtime agency 215 McCann has been released to promote Microsoft Xbox’s new Series X and Series S consoles, which launch Nov. 10.

The spot debuts today on digital channels in the U.S, U.K, Mexico, Germany and France and will air during Sunday Night Football, when the Minnesota Vikings take on the Seattle Seahawks. The campaign launch comes as Sony is also putting a huge marketing push behind its rival console, PlayStation 5, which will hit shelves Nov. 12.

Titled “Us Dreamers,” the ad is part of Xbox’s wider “Power Your Dreams” theme and stars British actor Daniel Kaluuya, from Get Out and

JB Hi-Fi Will Now Let You Use Gift Cards On PS5 And Xbox Series X Pre-Orders, Sort Of

JB Hi-Fi has backflipped on its stance to not accept gift cards on PS5 and Xbox Series X pre-orders. But it’s still complicated.

Originally no gift cards were allowed

On Monday JB Hi-Fi began sending out text messages to customers who had pre-ordered the next gen consoles. This included a note about how gift cards would not be accepted as a form of payment on the remainder of the pre-orders.

“Your spot in the queue for your PS5 Console pre-order is confirmed! We’ll SMS you soon with a link to pay your remaining console balance. Pay by Mastercard, Visa or PayPal. Gift Cards not accepted. More info: https://jbhifi.com.au/2020consoles,” one of the texts read.

This resulted in backlash from customers on social media, claiming the restrictions weren’t disclosed when they originally pre-ordered the consoles. The original pre-order pages for the consoles didn’t mention these restrictions once pre-orders had been closed.

We Asked JB Hi-Fi Why It Won’t Accept Gift Cards For Xbox Series X and PS5 Pre-Orders

This week, JB Hi-Fi began sending out texts to customers who had pre-ordered PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. There’s been backlash for a number of reasons, including the revelation that gift cards won’t be an acceptable form of payment.

Other frustrations have included some customers being bumped from launch day delivery due to the sheer volume of orders. There has also been some confusion around when some customers will receive their consoles. However, this has been an issue across a number of online retailers.

The first round of texts from JB Hi-Fi went out on October 5, which was a public holiday in New South Wales.

“Your spot in the queue for your PS5 Console pre-order is confirmed! We’ll SMS you soon with a link to pay your remaining console balance. Pay by Mastercard, Visa or PayPal. Gift Cards not accepted. More info: https://jbhifi.com.au/2020consoles,” one of

Xbox Gift Guide 2020: Best Gifts For Xbox Series X/S And Xbox One Owners

Microsoft has a big holiday season ahead of itself, with new consoles, accessories, and games on the market. Big games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Yakuza: Like A Dragon are purported to show off the power of the next-gen Xbox Series X and S consoles, but with Microsoft’s commitment to backwards compatibility, all Xbox One games and a varied library of Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles are also playable on the Series X and S. On top of that, all Xbox One accessories will be compatible with both of the new Xbox consoles, making this console launch particularly exciting–you don’t have to buy a brand-new set of accessories for your loved one if they’re getting a new console.

Unfortunately, the Xbox Series X and Series S are currently sold out after preorders went live on September 22, but it’s possible some consoles will be restocked before the holidays. Microsoft
